SYED HASNAIN HAIDER

His impressive track record includes serving on the boards of prominent electric power utilities and leading esteemed power companies as CEO. As the founder of TradeCraft, he envisions the platform as a catalyst for top-tier engineering and technology groups to enter the Pakistan and regional markets. Armed with an MBA and specialized expertise in the power sector, banking, and finance, Mr. Haider is uniquely positioned to steer TradeCraft towards facilitating seamless market entry for clients and fostering sustainable growth.
SYED IQBAL MEHDI
HEAD OF TECHNICAL
Mr. Mehdi has over 40 years of experience in various power technologies, including thermal, renewable, hydel, dual fuel, and nuclear. His expertise spans project evaluation, design review, construction supervision, installation, testing, and O&M. As Chief Technical Officer at CPPA-G, he played a key role in negotiating and implementing power purchase agreements, as well as tariff and technical negotiations. Mr. Mehdi is well-versed in concession agreements, including Power Purchase Agreements, Water Use Agreements, EPC Contracts, and Tariff matters. He has served in various organizations, including WAPDA, NTDC, Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu KSA, and MARAFIQ KSA. Mr. Mehdi has also provided advisory services to several projects and worked as an Independent Engineer for commissioning tests as well as an advisor to S K Hydro Power Project and Thar and other Coal projects. He holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering & Technology, Taxila, and an MBA from Allama Iqbal Open University Islamabad.
ENGINEER ITRAT HUSSAIN
HEAD OF ELECTRIC POWER SUPPLY CHAIN
Engr. Itrat Hussain has over 35 years of experience in electric power distribution systems, backed by an Electrical Engineering degree from UET, Lahore. His career includes serving as General Manager at FESCO, a leading Pakistani utility company. He spearheaded planning and development of utility’s distribution systems, including grid stations, lines, and GIS systems. He provided strategic leadership in customer service, power demand forecasting, and operational management at FESCO and MEPCO. Engr. Hussain has expertise in interconnecting utility systems with NTDC's high-voltage systems. As part of the TradeCraft team, Engr. Hussain leads the Power Supply Chain Business team, ensuring top-notch services for clients. His vast experience and technical expertise make him a valuable asset.
GROUP CAPTAIN RAUF AHMED (RETD)
HEAD OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Group Captain Rauf Ahmed (Retd) is a distinguished ex-senior officer of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), with an illustrious career spanning over three decades since 1981. His diverse experience encompasses both flying and transport operations, providing a unique blend of military and civil aviation expertise. Throughout his career, Group Captain Ahmed has been exposed to a wide range of logistics and cargo operations, both domestically and internationally. This extensive experience has equipped him with a deep understanding of complex project management, resource optimization, and problem-solving and aviation matters. His expertise extends to procurement, where he has gained valuable insights into the complexities of acquisition and contracting. With a proven track record of handling intricate projects and operations, Group Captain Ahmed brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table.
ZAKA BALUCH
CO-HEAD OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Mr. Zaka Baluch boasts 25-year career in government liaison and strategy advisory, with a proven track record of working with esteemed institutions such as the Prime Minister's Secretariat, Planning Commission, Energy Ministry, and Private Power & Infrastructure Board. His extensive experience in the public sector is complemented by his work with leading organizations like Hub Power Company Pakistan, Azad Pattan Power Limited, and Bestway Cement Group. Mr. Baluch possesses a deep understanding of public policy, social issues, and the complex political landscape, fostering strong relationships with governmental entities at various levels. In addition, Mr. Baluch is actively involved in copper mining in Baluchistan, providing him with unique insights into operational challenges, regulatory landscapes, and market dynamics specific to copper mining in Pakistan. His exceptional ability to handle community matters, regulatory approvals, and land access ensures seamless operations within the regulatory framework. Mr. Baluch's familiarity with the rugged and mineral-rich terrain of Baluchistan is invaluable. He is a Chartered Secretary and Chartered Manager.
QASIM ALI
CFO
Mr. Qasim has over 14 years of experience, including as a CFO of a number of companies and Tax Manager for a Chartered Accountancy Firm. He has strong Financial Management expertise, understanding of corporate compliance and regulatory requirements and complex tax laws. Throughout his career, Mr. Qasim has demonstrated exceptional financial acumen, providing strategic guidance on financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. His expertise in financial management has enabled organizations to optimize their financial performance, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and mitigate tax risks. Mr. Qasim holds a CA-Inter certification and an MBA in Finance, underscoring his technical expertise and business acumen.
